In 1947, the Collins Family acquired the La Valencia Hotel, a Southern California landmark and favorite hideaway of Hollywood stars. The family has since presided over the iconic property for more than 60 years, expanding from 70 to 113 rooms, continually burnishing La Valencia’s old-world ambiance and endless charm.

With the success of the hotel, the Collins Family turned their attention to a new endeavor: Rancho Valencia.
